Ancient Village

Walking around Banari

Matilde: - Hey Clelia! I'm here…
Clelia: - Hi Matilde, what’s up?
Matilde: - I'm tired of being here in the fresco, can you take me around with you?
Clelia: - Of course! Come, I am taking these nice people to visit Banari, follow us too.
Matilde: - Wait, I’ll jump in and come with you!
Clelia: - Come on, let's start with "Sa Caminera",classy and elegant, ready to put you in the shoes of a Noble
"Lady" of that time.
Matilde: - Wow! This journey is fantastic, wandering among the quiet of nature, the ancient stones and the
rustling of the branches, brought me such joy in my heart that it’s easy to loose myself in the imagination.
Clelia: - I am happy Matilde, this place still preserves, in the deserted tunnels, the laughter of the young
"Ladies" who once, to reach the private "Chapel" of the family, had to cross this street, without however
mixing with the plebs.

Matilde: - Clelia, I'm sure I've seen these landscapes in the fairytale books my mom used to read to me. I
did not believe that such a harmony between the passion of man towards earth and generous nature could
coexist in a time like this, where people only think about running and are always in a hurry. Dear Clelia,
here in Banari it seems that time has stopped, at a time when values such as hospitality, dedication to
others and care for common places still have deep roots.
Clelia: - Matilde your words touch me deeply, you have grasped the meaning of our culture. In Banari we
love to make people smile, we love parties, we like to make our guests passionate about our land. In
addition to history, art and culture, we love to let every corner of the country live with the same
authenticity with which it was made and to preserve it as it is.
Matilde: - If there were a world as I imagine it, everything would be like this: nothing would be different
from Banari!!
Clelia: - We arrived at the end of our little journey, see where "Sa Caminera" ends, at a small "Private
Church". Don't get lost, I'll come back later to take you to the world you are looking for!

Clelia: – Here we are again, back in the old town. That was such a lovely walk.
Matilde: – It really was, Clelia! So, where are you taking me now? I’m curious.
Clelia: – To a wonderful place, just like I told you earlier. Behind that door is my family’s Bed & Breakfast, an old historic home that my parents lovingly restored so that curious people like you could discover the Meilogu.
Matilde: – Wow! So this is the doorway to a time machine?
Clelia: – Exactly, Matilde! On my count, ready? One, two, three…

Matilde: - Uh! What a nice smell of coffee, may we Clelia?
Clelia: - Let me see what time it is. Well at 08:00 my mum Carmela prepares breakfast for everyone, come
on, I'll show you.
Matilde: - Mamma mia! It looks like a banquet for the King's court: fresh fruit, homemade bread, cheeses,
meat, yogurt, herbal teas and this fantastic coffee.
Clelia: - Matilde you must know that my mother loves to organize sensory journeys for her guests, that
differ every time. She is passionate about cooking and tries to offer the best of her territory for her guests
every single day.
Matilde: - That's just why I wouldn't want to leave anymore. But how funny is that dog that plays in the
garden, is it yours?
Clelia: - Yes! Romeo is our mascot, and dare I say, the real landlord!
Matilde: - With a garden like this there is so much to have fun with, super nice, but what is the dog doing?
Singing?
Clelia: - Wait a minute, it must be my father playing the piano, Romeo loves to sing along when he plays.

Matilde: - Can I sit down and try the piano?
Clelia: - With great pleasure. See this room is our dream room, where our memories meet rites!
Matilde: - Rites?
Clelia: - The rites are those moments that manage to keep the relationships of friendship and love alive.
These rituals are linked to the emotions of waiting, of trepidation, of happiness and of the surprise that
every day contribute to renewing our attention towards others. In this room people arrive, waiting to take
their keys, discover new friendships and chat, observe the paintings and all the objects present, hug, say
goodbye and promise to return as soon as possible.
Matilde: - Thanks Clelia for teaching me this new word, I think your land is very famous for its "Rites" in
general.
